At the beginning of October, I was hired, through my business, Instar Creations, to build a website for a local establishment. I was asked to build only a landing page and a photo gallery, just to get the site "up". The rest would come later, I was told. I delivered, payment was made, all was well. I received positive feedback on the result, and in short, I sent a quote for the next phase, along with detailed instructions for submitting the remaining content. A couple of weeks ago, when I was asked to update the site to include information about an upcoming event, along with an event calendar, I noticed that I was unable to log into the administration panel. I then noticed that the site had been changed completely! In other words, someone else had rebuilt it!
I was obviously pretty upset that I was not informed of my "termination", but even more upset that I had not captured any screenshots of my work - the customized Flash, coding, graphic manipulation, etc! Well, I remedied that (see video below). ☺ Word has it that this new site is only temporary, until I finish. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, but until then, I've decided to file this work in my personal portfolio.
This is obviously not a post I feel is appropriate for my business blog, but I would like to not only share my work, but also (at a later date) lessons I've learned from this experience. Granted, the reason behind all of this could simply be money; perhaps this new site was built for free. Nevertheless, I would prefer that my hard work not be in vain.
Below is a short video clip, first showing phase 1 of the project that I completed, then the new site. I'm obviously bias, so I would love to hear what "fresh eyes" think.

Please forgive the watermark on my portion of the clip. ☺
