September 10, 2011 marked Trinity School's 60th anniversary. That date fell on a Saturday, so we officially celebrated last Monday, September 12, which was also the day this year's 6th grade class presented this year's school theme: Determination.
The timing was too perfect. I couldn't help but connect this theme to what was (and is) happening in my life.
A little more than a week before that, I had a meeting at Caribou Coffee that changed my attitude and focus. It was a website help session with my co-worker, Brandi, who recently launched her photography business (Brandi Leann Photography). During this meeting, she encouraged me to pay more attention to my own business, which I started in 2006. Aside from jobs that have come to me (as opposed my own pursuit), I have largely ignored it, mainly due to fear. I started rebuilding my site last October, using Joomla!, a very popular content management system. Part of my reasoning behind that was just to have Joomla! "under my belt", as I've noticed that it's become sort of a "must know" in the world of web design and development. After I got the basics, I went back to ignoring the site. ☺
Well, no more. During the past 2 ½ weeks, I have spent countless hours tweaking, coding, rearranging, and styling my website (and of course, creating hacks for compatibility with Internet Explorer - "SIGH").
So please join me in welcoming back...
And if you've been satisfied with any work I've done for you, please take a moment to leave a testimonial on the site!
