As I sit here recovering from an incredibly stressful work-related ordeal, enjoying my tall Starbucks green tea, I feel the sand between my shoes and the floor, and I fear that it will NEVER disappear from the metro Atlanta area after our recent snow/ice storm!
What a perfect segway into this video! Not really. But I have been meaning to post this for a while. So what better time than now? This was in 2000, and I was attempting to visit my dad in California. If I recall correctly, I was unable to leave the day before due to flight cancellations, and this particular news broadcast was on the second day, after I had missed several flights. And true to tradition, both Mom and Aunt Sheila were with me at the airport. ☺ This was back in the days when they could still walk with me to the gate.
Side Note: Believe it or not, my mom actually used to walk me to my seat and sit with me on the plane for a while!!! Seems so unreal. I can't even IMAGINE that happening now. Sad how our world has changed.
The news package was much longer, but I did some editing, so we could get right to the point....ME. ☺
